It never ceases to amaze me the illusions people put on when trying to attract someone. From using booty pops, TWERK TEAM, no Miley, to men walking around with their rent checks in their pocket to stunt, people put on a great show to get people interested. Lately, it’s been getting pretty extreme.
This new contouring trend is becoming a cause for concern. The before and after shots are just crazy. It is scary to watch women go from a 3 to a 9 or 10.
It is a complete transformation. You appear to be lighter because of the lighter makeup you have to use to achieve the effect. You have to highlight the T zone and down the bridge of your nose which makes you nose appear thinner. It completely redefines the face, making it appear structured with high cheek bones. It’s a complete makeover.
I don’t have an issue with people improving themselves in general, but that’s just deceptive. If a guy meets you all contoured up, they aren’t really getting you. You’re going from Urkel to Stephon. Then later on when he sees what you actually look like you’ll be pissed if he’s no longer attracted to you. “He don’t want the real me!” Well you got him with the high glossed, real life photoshopped version of yourself. What do you expect?
Now for every twitter honey and instagram model, there’s some dude spreading his paycheck out in his instagram pics. Knowing full well they have to pay their bills and buy their baby diapers. Then you get girls and get made when they want you for the money. Don’t stunt to get women and then get mad when they take the bait. What do you expect?
The point is don’t use something to get a boyfriend and girlfriend then get mad when that’s all they want you for. People seem to think that they can play the role until the person loves them and then it won’t matter anymore. Wrong!
If you fake your way into a relationship, you’re setting yourself up for failure. It’s cool to play up your best qualities, but just make sure it’s based in reality. If you can’t just be yourself, at least pretend to be someone you want to be until you can make it real. Just know that you can set it up for pics and make your face up all you want, just don’t forget that however it looks that ish ain’t real.
