“Police sirens, everyday…people dyin’, everyday…mama’s cryin’, everyday…Father tryin’, everyday…tryin’ get my head straight…this the city of Chi-raq, don’t get your bed made…(Pray For My City).”
Two new singles & visuals called WGDB & Pray for My City has been released for the upcoming Spike Lee movie, CHI-RAQ. The first visual, WGDB is beautiful sung by Chicago’s very own, Kevon Carter as he sings about remembering the lives we lost recently such as Amari Brown & Vonzell Banks and not becoming desensitized by focusing & concerning ourselves with drama & nonsense in the media.
The second visual, Pray For My City is performed by Nick Cannon who stars in CHI-RAQ as he rap about what most guys deal with on a daily basis & what’s some of the things that’s currently occurring. There’s a lot of madness & hate taken place in the city of Chicago due to the violence which ultimately results to Nick Cannon – speaking on the behalf of fellow Chicagoans & asking everyone to pray for Chicago.
