“Baby don’t make me spell it out for ya…all of the feelings that I got for ya…can’t be explained, but I can try for ya…yeah baby, don’t make me spell it out for ya…(Make Me Feel)”
Earlier this week Janelle Monáe got fans excited with the trailer for her next album Dirty Computer. Ever since we’ve been excitedly anticipated new music. Well today she has released 2 visuals for new songs Make Me Feel & Django Jane. We already know when we’re dealing with Janelle that her emotion pictures, as she calls them, are bound to be very creative & whimsical. And sure enough Make Me Feel is a very lively, colorful video. The song sounds like a tribute to Prince, whom we know Janelle was very close to. The video explores a wild party & a love triangle. It co-stars Tessa Thompson as well as a few Wondaland artists. For Django Jane, Janelle puts on her emcee hat & rhymes as she holds court amongst her folks, very reminiscent of Black Panther in the showing of strong, Black womanhood. Dirty Computer is to be a visual album. It is due out April 27th. In Django Jane she raps, “Yeah, this is my palace…champagne in my chalice…I got it all covered like a wedding band…Wondaland so my alias is Alice…”.
