Last night was yet another lituation at The Shrine – yeah that’s right, we said lituation. It was the official birthday bash for Ludacris & Larenz Tate. The event was sponsored by Seagrams Gin. If you weren’t there I feel bad for you.
The night kicked off with a different DJ on each side, both getting the crowd going with hit after hit. The crowd grew to full capacity & the Seagrams & D’Usse was flowing. Everybody had a good time dancing & waiting for the guests of honor.
Just before their arrival, DJ Protegé came out & spun some records for the ladies & the Virgos. Finally, Ludacris & Larenz Tate came out & the place went crazy – Chicago love them some Luda & Larenz. After taking some photos & jamming along to the music a bit Luda & Larenz got on the mic to say hello to the people.
Both recently celebrated birthdays, Larenz on the 8th & Luda on the 11th. They were both keeping their birthday celebration going & showing major love to the city. Ludacris expressed his appreciation for the all natural ladies with no implants & had the crowd turnt & laughing. Larenz got on the mic to show love to his hometown & rep for the West Side, though he also showed love to the South. The party didn’t stop till – well lets just say instead of saying “Good Night”, Good Morning would have been more appropriate.
Shout out to everybody in attendance last night. Special thanks to Ludacris & Larenz Tate for showing up & showing us a good time. As always we are grateful to the wonderful staff at The Shrine, particularly Susu & Catrice Armstrong of PR Werks. Keep your eyes on The Shrine, there are more great events coming up. Tonight is all about dancehall & reggae. Friday night Avant will be in the building. For more info on upcoming events go to theshrinechicago.com.
