After last night, Thursdays won’t just be #ThrowbackThursdays, Shonda Rhimes officially owns Thursdays, #ShondalandThursdays. The night started off with a new season of Grey’s Anatomy, followed by a new season of Scandal which had just about every gladiator crying, ending with the season premiere of How To Get With Murder starring Viola Davis.
Professor Annelise Keating had her class competing in a murder case to become a part of her firm. The storyline goes from showing the end of the series to what led certain situations to occur in the beginning. Here’s our thoughts about How To Get Away With Murder.
Simply Brown: Don’t be fooled by the name of the new TV series, there’s way more to it than just murders. The show was filled with so much mystery, infidelity, and I must admit that was one very intense class. I commend every last student that return back for the next class, I know I couldn’t. But if I was Wes and walked in on my professor having an affair on her husband with “her boyfriend”, my stressful nights would be over with. Professor Keating would owe me big time lol. But I guess that’s one of the reasons I believe he was chose as a winner of her case assignment. There’s quite a few secret affairs going on, one too many unsolved death mysteries and lots of deceitfulness. I’m a fan of How To Get Away With Murder, and definitely will be tuned in each Thursday.
K: The show was just another example of Shonda Rhimes’ power. From the start of the show she had viewers stuck. I fell in love with Annelise Keating from the moment she strutted on the screen. To find out how complex & truly smart she is was amazing. I’m in love. I thought Olivia Pope had my heart, which she still does, but she has a rival. Viola plays this character so well, I can already tell the award nominations will be rolling in. You have gotta get into Shonda Thursdays. It’s some of the best shows in TV right now. Count me out for any Thursday night activities. I’m in!
