Last night was the season 7 finale of BET’s The Game. We were anticipating a full hour of the show, those entire 30 minutes kept us wanting more. It’s been an interesting season, pretty much like every other season that the Akil’s wrote and produce. There were a few surprises and few things that I wanted to talk about.
Jason and Chardonnay: I probably should have stated, “Jason and Chardonnay vs. Kelly”. Jason Pitts is confused! He really don’t know what he want to do and who he wants to be with. We all know how tight with money Jason is, I hope he realize that he’s wasting a lot of money going back and forth between women. Jason could have told Chardonnay that he’s still in love with Kelly when she was swiping his credit cards and preparing for “dream wedding”. I wonder if Jason will continue to flip-flop between the two. Will Kelly leave again? Do Kelly feel the same about Jason? Will Chardonnay move on?
Tasha and Malik: I still can’t pass the fact that Tasha actually had a baby. I always thought that Malik would be her one and only, especially when she declined the opportunity to have Derwin and Melanie’s baby back in season 5. But the fact that Tasha was pregnant and there was a possibility that either Pookie or Rick Foxx could be the father made things extremely interesting. Luckily, Baby Kai turned out to be Pookie’s. It shocked the world when he walked in that hospital room. We thought after what Tasha did to him that we would never see Pookie again. Malik has surprised me as well. It’s obvious that he still adores women but this time around he was a little more mature than he has been. Well until his trainer recommended that he wait a little longer before playing football again. He turned to the old Malik again. Will Pookie and Tasha become a family and raise baby Kai together? Will Rick Foxx appear again? Will Malik listen to his trainer’s advance? Will Malik go back to his old ways?
Last but not least, Blue and Keira: These two are so predictable. But yet Blue shocked us all by proposing to Keira and even leaving Jason and Chardonnay’s attempt of a wedding to tie the knot. It’ll be interesting to see if they actually go through with their unexpected wedding. Will they actually go through with getting married is the question. They may start an argument in the car and end up turning right around.
I’m hoping that Mara Brock-Akil continues with yet another season of The Game. There’s so many questions that we need answers to. I guess we’ll have to sit patiently and find out what happens next.
