Last night the third season of Raising Whitley premiered. Kym Whitley, her son, Joshua & her village of friends are back & the craziness begins again.
If you are not familiar with the show, it follows Kym Whitley who was left as guardian of the son of one of her mentees. She is trying to raise him as a single mother with the help of her “village”. It is funny, full of drama, & very chaotic.
K: It was funny seeing Kym continuing to treat her ex-assistant like her assistant. She may as well just hire him back. It was interesting setting Wendell deal with his high cholesterol. I was not aware of the many side effects that come with it. It is really dangers & can cause serious damage. Seeing Kym reunite with Joshua’s birth mother was very touching. I know it was very difficult for her to do with the fear that she might want him back. It’s great to see that Kym is still concerned for her well-being & is open to allowing Joshua have a relationship with his mother. This season should be very interesting to watch.
Loyal Brown: First I would like to say that I honestly pray that Kym and Rodney come into some sort of agreement with each other for the sake of Joshua. And yes, seeing Kym reunite with Joshua’s mother was extremely touching. I may have shared a tear myself. I believe Kym has made the right discussion by not confusing Joshua at an early age by introducing him to his birth mother. I respect the fact that Joshua’s birth mother is striving to become a better person and mother but she has already missed out on a lot therefore her returning at this point of his life, where Joshua is learning more about himself wouldn’t be best. As long as Joshua’s birth mother remain substance free and stay within communication with Kym, I’m sure Kym will give her the opportunity to gain some sort of relationship with Joshua then as he gets a little older, the three can seat down and explain things to him. That would be yet another touching seen but as continue to witness Kym and Joshua on their journey.
