Do you really know who you will be voting for President? I guess a better question to ask is, will you even be voting for our next President?
Elections are a very intense time of year whereas many things are promised by many politicians if elected. Many tend to believe that when it comes to politics, it only serves & is beneficial to those who are labeled as, “Upper Class”. The individuals who are considered to be “Middle Class” & especially those who are labeled, “Lower Class” don’t necessary gain much but a lot of broken promises.
Nick Cannon is a successful man now but he wasn’t born into a Upper Class family growing up; therefore he knows & understands the struggle – he’s been through it as well. Although Nick is a much better situation now as far as his lifestyle, he’s still able to relate to those who are less fortunate & don’t necessary feel that they have a voice to be heard, which leads to Nick creating a poem called Too Broke To Vote that reflects on many feeling that voting beneficial to them because of the “Status Quo”.
Nick Cannon recites,
Everybody I know say they too broke to vote. With all this heavy slave mentality, we could of broke the boat. Nobody cares about me, nobody cares about my family, nobody cares about my folks & nobody gets my vote. Nobody for President, that’s my campaign slogan. We got money for wars, we can’t feed our homeless. The government is hopeless, it’s like a reality show.
