“A lot of n*ggas were with me before, but now they gone missin’…true colors shown to be fictitious, shown to be suspicious…shown to have different intention from the bigger picture…shown that they couldn’t handle the hustle, handle the muzzle, so I had to forget them like I had dementia….(Serenity).”
Money Tantrum the Umbrella’s very own CEO & Chicago artist, White James has released his 16 track project, FOO FOP. What I find most interesting about FOO FOP is with 16 tracks, White James only has one featured artist by the name of JuJu; however, FOO FOP does feature various producers including White James himself, AdotThaGod, Saru & etc.
White James describes FOO FOP as “something that is not expected”. I must admit, I didn’t know exactly what to expect by the name “FOO FOP”. After listening to the project entirely, there’s a mixture of various types of music such as old school Hip Hop, Rock, the current stage of rap and of course since White James is from Chicago, FOO FOP definitely has records that has Chicago sound such Alert – (just a little), Goofies, What Now and Can’t Compare. White James even manages to introduce us to a new type of sound that now when we hear it, we can easily identify it as something that originated from White James.
My current favorite singles off FOO FOP would have to be Serenity, Come Correct & What Now.
