“Came up on a lot of bread, gotta slow down I been getting a lot of head…still sellin’ cocaine, girl going through my phone I ain’t storing no names…(I’m Out Here).”
O.T. Genasis has released his highly anticipated 15 track mixtape, “R&B: Rhythm & Bricks” hosted by DJ Drama. Typically when you hear R&B, you think Rhythm & Blues that includes love songs, heartaches, pains & etc. But with O.T. Genasis, he’s R&B is somewhat different. It includes more so that gangster type of music.
Now when we say gangster music that O.T. Genasis provides on Rhythm & Bricks, we don’t necessarily mean that straight hardcore, Ima blow your brains out type music – but it definitely provide you with that truth LA feeling & sound on several tracks. Rhythm & Bricks is what most gangster type guys can relate to when it comes to expressing themselves about life & women. O.T. Genasis comes from the streets; therefore, he’s fully aware of what goes down & how to survive in the streets but the way he presents & express himself is much calmer & relax way – I suppose that’s where the whole idea of Rhythm (meaning calm, relax) & Bricks (streets). And lets not forget, O.T. Genasis is Mr. Baking Soda.
Rhythm & Bricks features Wiz Khalifa, Lil Wayne, K. Camp, Young Dolph, Snoop Dogg, The Game & more. The entire mixtape is definitely worth a full listen and as of right now at this very moment, Cut It has to be my favorite.
