“Change is inevitable…why hold onto what you have to let go of…Like did I really break your heart?…was it all my fault?…if you don’t knock it off…you know like I know where this is headed…I’m a wanderer…I’m a wanderer, baby…I’m a wanderer…I’m a wanderer”
Jhené Aiko has released the visual for her most recent single, Spotless Mind. It is one of my favorite songs from Souled Out & the visuals definitely fit.
The song is about Jhené’s ever-changing nature & her mate having a hard time adjusting with her. In the video, her love interest is played by her daughter, Namiko’s father & Omarion’s younger brother, O’Ryan.
The video, like the song, is a take on the movie Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. In the video Jhené goes through many changes as her boyfriend watches in confusion. Eventually he can no longer take it. In the end Jhené says “Shame on me for changing…no, shame on you for staying the same”.
