ILL PHILL, one of Chicago’s rapidly emerging up-and-coming rappers, just debuted his first music video as a solo rap artist with “Ayisyen’m Yo”. The single will be his introduction to the industry as a multi-lingual rapper (rapping in French) straight out of Chicago. This drill sound, blended with the French lyrical delivery, is sure to set PHILL apart from the rest. The Smile-producer track and Hued Productions-directed music video take you into PHILL’s world.
Inspired by his roots and the misconceptions of Haitians, ILL PHILL is looking to change the game with the single. “My parents and grandma migrated from Haiti to make a better life for our family. I came up with the song to show my passion, ambition, and love for the country of Haiti. There are people that will judge you based on your upbringing and say what you’re not capable of doing. This is me telling everyone out there that no matter where you’re from you can overcome that.”
