“Sleeping…with the one I love…said I’m sleeping…with the one I love…cuz the one I’m with is good to me…he just ain’t good enough…”
Fantasia has just released the new single Sleeping With The One I Love from her upcoming album The Definition Of. The song is a theatrical, power ballad that features strong production with elements of Blues and Jazz. Fantasia sings about struggling to decide between two men, the one that’s good to her and the one that’s good for her. She’s creeping out, but it’s only because she is not getting what she needs at home. You can hear elements of James Brown as well as Etta James in the music and delivery. Yet another reason to get excited about her new album, which is currently available for pre-order. She sings,”I strive to do right…but I’m doing so wrong…I’m living in this house…but I can’t call it home…he gives me what I want…but it’s not what I need…my mind is telling me to stay, but my heart wants to leave…”.
