This Sunday, June 26th BasketballMom & Hooplyfe presents the 3rd Annual Chicago All City 3-On-3 “Playing For Peace” Youth Basketball Tournament hosted by BasketballMom & Hooplyfe founder, Nikki B. at The Ray & Joan Kroc Center (1250 W. 119th Street) from 1pm to 4pm.
With a mission to “provide a positive avenue for the youth in the Chicago-land area”, some of Chicago’s elite 4th through 12th grade boys will be competing in a peaceful manner while also learning the importance of teamwork, sportsmanship, leadership, determination & competitiveness during the Chicago All City 3-On-3 Youth Basketball Tournament.
Not only will the youth be Playing For Peace, there will be Peacemakers such as Community Activist, William Calloway & Black Girls Rock & Emmy Award, Ameena Matthews present to speak on alternatives that one could use to defuse hostile situations that can result to violence.
The 3rd Annual Chicago All City 3-On-3 Playing For Peace Youth Basketball Tournament is FREE with FREE Admission, Food & Drinks. Although the 13 through 18 age groups have been filled, there’s still a few remaining 7 through 12 age groups available to participate in the tournament.
