“And it’s about love…I don’t know, I don’t know, I don’t know, know, know…And it’s about promises…can’t promise, promise, promise…can’t promise you…And it’s about chance…take that chance, take that chance…(Overture)”
Vivian Green is back with her latest album called VGVI. It is her sixth album & it is an incredible album.
Vivian Green’s debut album came out 15 years ago. Still love Emotional Rollercoaster like it’s new. In the time since she has continued to use her incredible voice to sing songs for ladies to relate to as we go through our relationships. For this album, she uses a variety of sounds to journey through this era of her artistic journey. She has been rolling out singles all year & I have enjoyed each one of them. She started with island flavor for I Don’t Know. Then she put out the mid-tempo song Promise. By the time Mutual Feelings came out I was waiting anxiously for the album to drop. She did not disappoint. It is a great R&B album start to finish. It is incredibly fresh. The production is awesome & covers a wide range of sounds without being all over the place. In the album she addresses love, the political climate, & even makes a song about making sad love songs although she is happy in her relationship. It is a reallly good, necessary album. Another reminder that whatever is popular, there are still good R&B albums being made. The album features a duet with Musiq Soulchild & an instrumental appearance by Charisa The ViolinDiva.
VGVI is available all over right now. Check out the video for I Don’t Know below:
