Just last week The Game released The Documentary 2. Well today he has dropped The Documentary 2.5. Some may think there are just a few new songs added on, but in fact it’s an entirely new album with 18 new tracks.
Just like on TD2, The Game is reppin hard for the West coast, Compton & his people. On TD2.5 he talks a lot about his past in the streets & how it continues you effect his present. Once again he samples a lot of music from Rocket Love by Stevie Wonder to Tupac to Kool & The Gang. He opens it by explaining what happened between him & 50 to Sway. From there he rolls into many different sounds all reminiscent of older West coast Hip Hop & even a bit of Funk, sampling George Clinton & Parliament.
The album is also very feature heavy. There a lot of West coast legends & major names. The features are Anderson .Paak, Sonyae, Jay Rock, ScHoolboy Q, Nas, will.i.am, Lil Wayne, Asia, Scarface, Deion, DJ Quik, Sevyn Streeter, Micah, E-40, Mvrcus Blavk, Lil E, Problem, Ty Dolla $ign, YG, Jay 305, AD, Mitch E-Slick, Joe Moses, RJ, Skeme, King Mez, JT, Jon Corner, Busta Rhymes & Skrillex. He & Nas absolutely eat The Ghetto, he pays tribute to Tupac, & he has a really touching song featuring his sons Harlem & Justice. There is also production by Travis Barker.
The Documentary 2.5 is currently available on iTunes & everywhere.
