“Free enterprise…over-exposed…irritatin, un-educated still scribble my flows…the jubilation…the euphoria…pushing the foreign in the mornin’, pick your daughter up… (Free Enterprise)”
Rick Ross has just released his new album Black Market. It’s a good one.
Say what you want about Rick Ross, he usually gives us a good album. Between his flow & the flow of the album, it’s a great collective. He’s released quite a few songs from the album, but that’s still just a taste. The real feel of it comes with going through it. I thought I might skip through it, but I found myself wanting to hear the whole song.
Per usual, he’s talking about getting money & balling out. Something about listening to Rozay makes you wanna get after. As soon as I heard the album, I wanted to hear it banging inside of a car. That feels like what it’s made for. He takes a few shots at some other big rappers, but he took a moment to pay tribute to his mother as well.
As always, he came up with some big collaborations. The album features John Legend, CeeLo Green, Nas, DJ Premier, The Dream, Chris Brown, Future, Mary J. Blige, & Mariah Carey. There’s a little something for everybody.
