Today Jazmine Sullivan dropped her latest album, Reality Show. Once again she did not disappoint.
After taking time off from music following her 2nd album, Love Me Back, Jazmine began her return to music last year. Her first release upon return was the song Dumb featuring Meek Mill. She then came back with the amazing, acoustic track Forever Don’t Last. Then our previously featured Mascara.
This album absolutely puts me in mind of a reality show. It could be the soundtrack to Love & Hip Hop. Particularly songs like Mascara, Forever Don’t Last, #HoodLove, & Veins. She tackles the different issues women experience in relationships, from being cheated on, unappreciated, to generally mistreated. The lyrics are definitely relatable & as always the vocals are incredible. Very Mary J. Blige-esque, 90s type R&B. Heartfelt & honest music.
We have yet another great R&B album. Last year saw quite a few & now the start of this year is looking the same. We must support great R&B artists. My favorite tracks from the album are Mascara, Forever Don’t Last, Let It Burn, #HoodLove & Veins. Go to Amazon, iTunes as well as, Google Play & wherever music is sold. Support good music!
