“It’s written on your face that you wanna take my place…I really don’t understand how you envy another man…Imma kind so they tryna check me…you know droppin bombs like Flexy…yo girl she thinks I’m sexy… (My Shoes)”
Jaheim has just released his latest album Struggle Love. It’s what we’ve come to expect from Jaheim updated a bit for 2016.
I can think of many hits from Jaheim over the years, from Anything to Just In Case to Put That Woman First, and the whole time he’s remained true to R&B. This album is another link in the chain. In these songs he is exploring relationships from many different sides. From the title track Struggle Love, which speaks on going from broke with someone, to Side Piece where he sings about being the man on side. He covers many bases and gives songs for many situations. The best way I can describe it is that it’s the R&B so many claim to miss with a street edge. Jaheim fans and R&B fans should enjoy it.
Struggle Love is available for purchase and stream everywhere. There is also an exclusive Target version with 2 bonus tracks. Check out the title track below:
