“In my eyes…you’ll see the soul underneath my celebrity skin…I’m not afraid…to open up wider…please be my guest, come on in…(Heart Blanche Intro)”
CeeLo Green has just released his new solo album Heart Blanche. CeeLo fans will be thrilled with this one.
It’s been a while since CeeLo’s last album & yet this album still seems to pick up where it left off. This album has a very uniquely CeeLo, Gnarls Barkley sound. Not only with that voice, but with the large scale production & his knack for making songs that can easily be anyone’s anthem. Some of these songs I could immediately see performed with an orchestra feeling a stadium. The music is larger than life, just like the man singing it.
CeeLo pay tribute to people who work with a great anthem called. He also pays tribute to Robin Williams & many other comedy & acting heroes who have lost their life in tragedy. He takes it back to his roots, singing about being from the Dungeon Family. CeeLo gives a soul-stirring vocal performance on CeeLo Sings The Blues that almost brought a tear to my eye. There are some grooves & party anthems. He’s covered all of his bases & put together a great collection of music.
CeeLo Green’s Heart Blanche is available on iTunes & everywhere now. Listen to the track Working Class Heroes (Work) below:
