“You evoke the feeling…this feeling I’ve been dreaming of…I’m ready to reveal it…let inhibitions come undone…(Invitation)”
Britney Spears has just released her new album Glory. It is one of the most solid Pop albums I have heard in quite some time & from none other than the Pop icon Britney.
Glory was a very pleasant surprise. I’m not entirely sure what I expected. To be honest, my expectations may have been low, not because of Britney, but just because once a lot of artists have been around for a long time, their album quality can dive. But, none the less, Britney came through for her fans on this one. The album is Pop at it’s best: catchy, dance-able, tongue in cheek & upbeat. It is Britney maybe not at her best, but certainly at her best in years & in better quality than many of the Pop girls out right now. I have been playing the album on & off all day. The vocals are clear & steady, the production is good, & the lyrics have staying power. The album’s only feature is G-Eazy. Alright now, Britney! Way to come through for the fans since Baby One More Time.
Glory is currently available everywwhere. Check out the video for Make Me featuring G-Eazy below:
