“Hello…it’s me…I was wondering if after all these years you’d like to meet…to go over…everything…they say that time’s supposed to heal ya…but I ain’t done much healing…(Hello)”
Adele’s highly anticipated album 25 is out! It is worth the money & the wait.
Expectations were high following the massive success of 21. In many ways she met expectations, but at the same time she gave something different. There are the signature melancholy songs that people love to reminiscent & cry to. At the same time she tries on a few different sounds that work really well. The tracks form a great composition that I have no desire to skip through. I just let it all go & teleport me.
There’s a sincerity in Adele’s voice that makes her instantly relatable. You know immediately what she means & as vivid as her story is, you immediately go to your own memories & think of people you could sing the song about. But it’s not all getting into negative feelings. A lot of it is nostalgic, like in Hello & When We Were Young. There’s a nice little bop in Send My Love (To Your New Lover) & the song I Miss You is incredibly sexy. There are also some great love songs that obviously reflect her current relationship. Overall it is a great experience that features some great production, lyrics, & of course that voice. Couldn’t ask for more.
25 is currently available most places. Unfortunately it is not available for streaming. You’ll simply have to buy it, but I assure you, you won’t regret it. Check out the song When We Were Young below:
