We were fortunate enough to talk ish with rap artist…Stunt Taylor!!! Stunt has been having radio stations, clubs, concert shows and even neighborhood blocks going ballistic over his single, FeFe on the Block. Stunt isn’t done yet, he has so much more in store. Let’s get to know Stunt Taylor…
3 Voices: Introduce yourself to the world. Let the people know who Stunt Taylor is and what Stunt Taylor does.
Stunt Taylor: It’s ya boy Stunt Taylor. Born and raised on the West side of Chicago, K Town…Mr. FeFe on the Block. Hardworking young man. Graduated from college in 2012. Pursuing my music game right now. Hopefully God can take me to the top.
3 Voices: Your music have a unique sound that many people really like and dance to, more specifically “Bop”. What inspires you to do your music?
Stunt Taylor: I wasn’t really trying to make Bop music, but since I’m from the Westside of Chicago, they put me in that category and I just ran with it. I was inspired to do music by Biggie Smalls, Young Jeezy, Gucci, I mess with all of their music. I just wanted to do it. I saw my cousins doing it in the room, we were doing it off of his software called mix craft and we had like a computer mic and we was just rapping off of it. Ever since then I’ve been going crazy.
3 Voices: The collaboration that we admire the most is your style of music and the style of dance better known as Boppin’ which became globally thanks to the help of Chicago’s very own, Bop Kingz, Dlow and Lil Kemo. How proud of you of their success and what they’re bring into the music industry as dancers? Tell us about the relationship you all have.
Stunt Taylor: You can say we all family, but I’m blood related to DLow. I’m proud of them. I’m proud of both of them. They took it to another level. I gave them advice, I told them, they gotta go hard. Y’all gotta make a name for yourselves. Y’all gotta get out here be successful, y’all gotta work. I started making music, they started dancing to my songs. One of my songs went regional, FeFe On The Block, and now we’re just working right now.
3 Voices: Your single “Fe Fe On The Block” recently reached over a million views on YouTube. Congratulations!!! How does it feel to reach a million views on YouTube without having to feature an established artist that’s well known in the music industry, you did it on your own? You even have a lot of people even saying “Fe Fe On The Block,” how did you come up with such a song?
Stunt Taylor: I was listening to everybody, Breezy, Sicko Mob, MV, Bop Kings, DJ Nate and a lot of people and they were talking about FeFes, Fiestas. Some people can figure out what we’re talking about using context clues, but nobody was explaining what it was so I took time to explain what a FeFe was and I made it into a song. A FeFe is an unauthorized block party. People come with music, we drinking, smoking, having fun and whatever.
3 Voices: What’s next for Stunt Taylor? Are there any exclusives that you can share with us?
Stunt Taylor: I got a song called Sweet Amigo I’m about to do, that’ll drop pretty soon. It’s a pretty nice track. Look out for that. I’m really pushing One Night right now after FeFe On The Block. All my songs that I have out are singles. Some are stronger than others, but I’m pushing all of them. I [performed] with T Pain. I’ll be in Danville, Illinois on April 5th. I got a couple tours coming up with people. And my high school tour, I’ll be going around Chicago going crazy. I’ve done a few schools already like Thornridge and Bloom…they went crazy.
