We were fortunate enough to talk ish with Rap Artist…Ntune!!! Ntune is no stranger in the music industry as he is apart of the rising music group, Rich Crew. Ntune literally had just about everybody saying, “All About Cash” at almost every homecoming, party, club and etc. Lets get to know Ntune…
3 Voices: Introduce yourself to the world. Let the people know who Ntune is and what Ntune does.
Ntune: I’m Rich Crew Ntune, I am one of Rich Crew’s artist…been with it since day one. Got a new hit single called, All About Cash and just a positive artist out of Chicago…raised in Chicago.
3 Voices: What inspired you to become an artist?
Ntune: I didn’t do a lot when I was young…the only thing that I did was listen to music. I actually grew up listening to older type music like Ronald Isley, Al Green and all of that because I stayed with my grandmother. I was listening to music and it just became a part of me…music is a part of everybody. Just growing up, I kept up with the music, I kept a CD player, MP3 player…anything that [played] music I had it. And it just grew with me. That made me want to create music because I know how music makes me feel when I hear it. So I was like, “I want to have this same type of effect on other people,” and that’s when I started rapping and DJing.
3 Voices: Who are some artists that have influenced your career?
Ntune: Growing up during my teenage years, I was listening to 50 cent when he first got hot, Lil Wayne of course, Drake when he first came out. Lil Wayne was one of my favorite artists because he actually tells stories in his music…that’s what I like to hear. I like to hear stories because when I’m hearing it, I’m visualizing it in my head. I want to be able to do that one day, tell a story and have people visualizing it in their head, but really just make music that people can relate to.
3 Voices: As being a part of Rich Crew, you’ve been many places with Spenzo. What is one thing you learned that you believe helped you pursue your music career?
Ntune: Actually with me and Spenzo, that’s something we built together. We both really started doing the rap thing at the same time and we just was out in about networking with people and just tryna get our music played in the clubs and get people to listen. We knew we had different music from what other people was listening to, we consider what we [were] doing as real music…real rap because that’s what we did. We’re more of a lyrical type of artists…we make party type music but we can get real lyrical if we have to. We try to make music that people can relate to, and when we go on tour and do these shows, we make sure we have the full attention of the crowd and we do what we have to do to keep them in tune with us.
3 Voices: So is that how you came up with your name, Ntune?
Ntune: Basically with the name, I was like “I need a name,” but I wanted it to have something to do with the terms people use daily, but still have a music relation. You know iTunes, I just dropped the “i” and was like, Ntune because everybody always saying, “get in tune, get in tune”, so I was like I could just go with Ntune.
3 Voices: Your single, All About Cash has been doing extremely well as far as reaching over a 100,000 views on YouTube, has been played countless amount of times on radio stations, shows and etc. Could we possibly expect an “All About Cash” remix?
Ntune: Yeah, definitely! That’s not something that I’m working on yet, but I’m definitely looking to have a few artists on the remix. Lets turn it on out…we still working on the song, getting it nationally known right now, which it is doing. A lot of blog sites have been picking up on it, been getting a lot of offers for homecomings, concerts and all type of stuff, so we just busy right now. But yeah, it’s definitely gone be a remix, probably by the Spring. I know somebody who has a real good connection with the Migos, it would be nice to have them on there. I might put Spenzo on there, but I don’t know right now…we gone figure it out. It has to make sense, everything gotta make sense.
3 Voices: Either dead or alive, who would have been or would you like to collaborate with?
Ntune: Dead, I would definitely have to say Tupac…I would have loved to do a song with Tupac. In all honestly, I feel like Lil Wayne is a younger Pac. Pac goes harder but Lil Wayne is diverse with the Rock n Roll and all that…sometimes he goes a different route with it. But him and Pac, they both tell stories and that’s something that always grabbed my ears. So if I could, I would do a song with Pac. Now alive, I would definitely have to go with Wayne because I feel like I’m just a younger him. And possibly even Aaliyah too…have her on the hook or something.
3 Voices: What’s next for Ntune? Are there any exclusives you can share with us?
Ntune: Right now, I’m just working on the tour for October. My PR, she’s putting that together for me right now. I’m actually in the process of recording some music for the tape, I haven’t figured out a name for it yet. Like I said before, it all has to make sense. When I get the cover made and all that, I’m going to exclusively drop it on y’all website, so y’all can be looking out for that. The mixtape is probably gone drop in the Fall, maybe…we still figuring that out now.
3 Voices: How can the people reach out to you on social media sites such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and etc.?
Ntune: Well my Instagram is @richcrewntune and on Twitter it’s just @ntuneee. I don’t really use Facebook, I haven’t been on there in a minute.
And there you have it! You heard it all from Ntune himself! Be sure to follow him on all social media sites, request All About Cash on all radio stations and be on the lookout for his mixtape. Much success to you Ntune, be sure to keep in touch!
