We were fortunate enough to talk ish with Hip Hop Artist…Problem OTC!!! Problem OTC which actually stands for Of The Chi, is a not your ordinary rapper from Chicago. He decided to go a completely different route from most artist by speaking about things he witnessed without degarding women and using profanity to do so. Lets get to know Problem OTC…
3 Voices: Introduce yourself to the world. Let the people know who Problem OTC is and what Problem OTC does.
Problem OTC: I’m basically a artist from Chicago’s Southside, who’s just here to tell my story. Anything I record is definitely something that’s either going on in my life or has already happened. Never would get the tough guy/drilling type of music from me, not trying to knock it but that’s just not who I am.
3 Voices: What inspires you to rap? Who are some of your rap influences?
Problem OTC: My biggest inspiration of Hip Hop was Kanye West. The first time I heard him I was super shocked. I had never heard anyone rap without talking about guns, “bitches”, hoes, or selling drugs and still be dope! He made me think like “damn, I might have a chance to rap now” lbs. Another big reason why I rap is for my mother. She really believes in my so success is mandatory.
3 Voices: Tell us about your style of music and how it’s different from a lot of other rappers? What made you decide to go that specific route with your music?
Problem OTC: My style of music is just me being myself. I don’t use any profanity so I think that separates me…BIG TIME. I think the lyric in my music really stands out because artist nowadays just get behind a booth and make words rhyme. I really put my heart into this. The reason I don’t use any profanity is because as a child my mom wouldn’t pay for my studio time unless I recorded without cursing lol. That style just stuck with me.
3 Voices: We heard the snippet to your single, “Go.” Tell the people about that specific single. Was there ever a point in your life that you just had to tell a girl to go?
ProblemOTC: Yes, I love that song lol. I won’t say any names but one of my recent ex girlfriends did me totally wrong. It was my first time breaking up with a girl because of her being in the wrong. I guess Karma really does exist. It also is a song I think a lot of people can relate to so I’m definitely excited to finish that joint and shoot a visual.
3 Voices: What’s next for Problem OTC? Are there any exclusives that you can share with us?
Problem OTC: A lot of big moves if it’s in God’s plans. I recently got under new management and also have a booking agent now so stay tuned for a lot of great moves from me. I have a single called “Take it Off” that’s a hit and will be dropping soon and we start shooting a visual for “Lowkey” next week.
3 Voices: How can the people reach out to Problem OTC on social media sites such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and etc.?
