We know…We know…We been kinda missing in action lately. A lot you all thought that we ran out of ish to talk, but fortunate enough there’s always some ish to say. Many of you should be aware of what time of the season it is for college students…yeah, that’s right…its Finals Week! We over here at Can I Talk My Ish are two college seniors, in case you didn’t know. Who even came up with the idea of finals? I’m sure that finals are the number one cause of stress for ALL college students. All that unnecessary pressure of remembering everything you learned since the beginning of the semester. Late night studying, typing 10 or more page papers, rereading chapters, memorizing formulas, definitions and etc. In the words of Sweet Brown say…”Aint nobody got time for that.” Throughout my years in college, I’ve decided to decided to share some of my many methods called, “Don’t Get Caught.”
1. If you know that you have to memorize definitions, formulas or anything of that nature, I advise you to make a small, “Reminder Sheet.” Professors actually do not prefer that the reminder cheat many might even call it cheating but I simply call it a reminder.
2. If you find yourself constantly having to type a 10 or more page paper just about every semester, I advise you to “RECYCLE” an old paper that you wrote before but do a little editing. Or if you happen to have a friend who wrote about a topic you’re writing about then there’s nothing wrong with using their paper to make your edits. You all are probably friends therefore you all have things in common and share the same likes and interests about topics. Am I right?
3. If you happen to be in a classroom taking a final and your classmate appear to be floating through the test while you still spelling out your name, I advise you to GLANCE over and see if you’re heading in the same direction just to see if you’re starting the test off right. Don’t be super obvious about it though, just like slightly at the corner of your eye and you may need to do a little stretch to lean back with it. It’s extremely important to also keep your eye on the professor because he or she may put you on blast and give you a grade lower than what you would have earned on your own.
4. It would be beneficial if you informed your classmate that you are absolutely sure is going to past, know upfront that you may need their assistance during the exam. That’s just so that they can be cautious of their elbows and body positions in order for you to be able to review without you being obvious and drawing attention to yourself.
Now I can’t share too much of my test, quiz and finals technique, the moral of the story if you gone try my steps…Don’t Get Caught.
