Donda’s House has opened up their Spring Got Bars program for application. All artists between the ages of 14 & 24 should apply.
Donda’s House was founded by Kanye West & Che ‘Rhymefest’ Smith & is directed by Donnie Smith. It is a great foundation that is doing a lot of great things around Chicago & soon across the country.
Got Bars is an artist development program which offers classes and resources for rappers and singers to grow & record. Participants are selected through applications and auditions.
There are 12 weeks of courses which are taken 3 times a week. The classes are Creative Writing, Health and Wellness & Studio Recording. Each participant will create original music, beginning from the idea stage all the way through to recording.
The program concludes with a final performance showcase which features the new material. Once the program is completed you become a lifetime member of Donda’s House with access to promotion, continuing education, & all future events.
Go to dondashouseinc.org to apply. The deadline to apply is March 2. Donda’s House is a great organization that artists should get involved in. As we posted in our Behind The Mic write-up members of Donda’s House performed in front of Big Sean. They also performed at the AAHH! Fest last year. The opportunities are endless. Get involved!
