Yesterday evening, we had the honor of attending Bella Breed’s 2nd Annual Women’s Empowerment Event “You Can Sit With Us” at the Chicago South Loop Hotel. Such an astounding event; not even a snowstorm could prevent a series of women from coming together to empower one another. A few gentlemen were also present to show their support.
As everyone entered into the event, they were greeted by Bella Breed’s founder, Ka’Shay Watson as they took their seats. In the midst of everyone introducing themselves & becoming familiar with everyone at their table, Radiah Henderson provided a nice, warm welcome to everyone before introducing Ka’Shay. Ka’Shay spoke on her organization Bella Breed & the success of her first event this past year, Bella Breed presents Beauty Brains Brunch. Radiah then returned to introduce the guest speakers for the evening.
The speakers of the evening consist of Celebrity Hairstylist & Co Owner of Natural Girl Hair Imports, Natalie B., Wardrobe Stylist & Owner of HER Treasures Boutique, Stacey Lynn, CEO & Founder of Mielle Organics, Monique Rodriquez & Real Estate Broker, CEO of BasketballMom Apparel & Hooplyfe, Nikki Burnett. After each speaker introduced themselves & their business(es), Radiah began asking the speakers questions pertaining to their journey to success, achievements & more. Not only did the speakers provide some very enlightening information about themselves & their business(es), they also provided a lot of useful & helpful information that I’m for certain everyone in attendance will put to use.
The guests were given the opportunity to ask questions & also personally speak to each speaker as the 2nd Annual Women’s Empowerment event came to an end. But before the event officially came to an end, everyone gathered to recite an empowering Women’s pledge.
We definitely commend Ka’Shay & the entire Bella Breed organization for putting together such a great event & each guest speaker for sharing their experiences & advice.
