Mary Jane is clearly a mess. And with the family she has, who can blame her. Her mother is irritating as hell. She’s going to be like most lead women in shows; they take care of everybody & yet have no idea what to do with themselves. Intelligent people, who seem to make countless dumb decisions.
That conversation with Mary Jane & Avery was amazing. Like, I want the transcript of that scene. That interrogation had my jaw dropping every question. Avery was not playing & MJ was actually answering. It was amazing.
The whole “Oh, I cheated on my wife, but now I’m in love” thing might irritate me, but I’m definitely anxious to see what happens next.
K: Wow! The movie was pretty explosive & now the show… Just wow! It started with a bang & it really kept me into it. The storyline definitely has the potential to be something that I’ll tune into every week. It was a bit much at some moments, even slightly predictable & corny, but I think the characters are something to watch.
Simply Brown: I know I’ll definitely be tuning in every week. It had my undivided attention throughout the whole premiere. Mary Jane was definitely “being Mary Jane” by being a successful woman just looking to be loved. I’m just a little curious to see what she’s actually going to do with the refrigerated sperm, like will see ever use it or is she just trying save a piece of him? I have to agree with K, it’s kinda predictable but yet still unexpected at times when it comes to Mary Jane.
Good job Mara Brock Akil & Gabrielle Union. You’ve got our viewership.
