First & foremost, I would like to wish all the fathers, rather physically or spiritually present on Earth a wonderful & Happy Father’s Day. You too are appreciated.
As I stroll through several social media platforms, I’ve came across several statuses, posts, videos & etc. whereas fathers aren’t being properly acknowledge for Father’s Day. Yes, I recall on Mother’s Day, Facebook for example provided a beautiful lay out for the Mothers by allowing everyone to change their profile picture to their mother with a caption reading: “I ❤️ Mom”. That was sweet. Now one would easily assume that on Father’s Day, a similar lay out would be available – I have yet to see one.
Some of you reading this are probably saying, “there aren’t as many real fathers as there are real mothers”. Well my friend, Father’s Day, just like Mother’s Day isn’t a day to bash those who you feel aren’t “real” fathers. It’s a day to show appreciation & love to those who are. Personally, I know of several fathers who do a terrific job raising their children without any courts orders. I even know fathers who has full custody of their children & never not once complained about it. I’ve also seen fathers of one or two children in the household, care & love the other child(ren) within that same household as their own even after he & the mother have broken up or separated. That’s pure love & what you call a “real” man in my opinion.
Yes, there’s a few absentee fathers in the world, but there’s also a few mothers who aren’t around as well, but mothers aren’t bashed nor shamed on Mother’s Day like fathers on Father’s Day. Why is that? Like for real, why is that? That’s a real question because I really don’t know lol.
I’m sure at times it can be a challenge being a father, that’s if the mother of your child(ren) is a challenging person, but never give up. There’s ways & routes you can go to receive the same equal rights as the mother. And for those who’s proudly doing their father’s duties, I applaud you this day & everyday for being the father that you are.
Once again, Happy Father’s Day!
